Kumar La Noce is an Indo-Italian Architectural practice founded in Bangalore, India in 2012 by Bhavana Kumar and Nicola La Noce.
The studio has worked on projects of various scales including residential, educational, art installations, interior and urban design since its inception.
Their work is based on typological reasoning and a need to create evocative spaces informed by pragmatism, culture and collective memory.
In 2016, the studio was chosen as one of 10 ‘Outstanding’ young Practices by the IIA Karnataka Chapter and work exhibited at the 10x10 Praxis Exhibition in Bangalore. In Jan 2017, KLN was chosen amongst the winners of 'Young Designers 17' by Indian Architect & Builder. In April 2019, the studio received a Forbes India Design Award for its work.
Completed projects include restaurants for the Crowne Plaza in Bengaluru, a boutique resort in Kerala and a Learning Complex for a music school in Kalkeri Village, Dharwad.

Bhavana Kumar - Director, Co-Founder
Bhavana Kumar has a B. Arch from RVCE, Bangalore, India, 2008 and an MA in Housing and Urbanism from the Architectural Association, London. She is co-founder and Principal Architect at Kumar La Noce Studio, Bangalore. She is also Recipient of the Gurukul scholarship from SPICMACAY to study art and philosophy at the Dalai Lama’s Monastery. Prior to founding KLN she has worked in Ahmedabad and Alibaug on projects of different scales and genres.
Nicola La Noce - Director, Co Founder
Nicola La Noce is an Italian Architect-Urbanist. He is co-founder and Principal Architect at Kumar La Noce Studio, Bangalore. He graduated in Architecture-Engineering at Università di Cagliari and has an MA in Housing and Urbanism from the Architectural Association, London. He has been continuously involved in teaching and research through various architecture schools in Bangalore.
